Republic of Ireland international Adam Idah made his third appearance of the season for Norwich City in the Premier League during the 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Saturday. The Irish striker was on for the final ten minutes of the game in the place of German midfielder Lukas Rupp as Norwich City went in search of an equaliser so as to earn their first point of the new Premier League campaign.

Young Republic of Ireland striker Idah and Norwich City failed in their bid to salvage a point away to the Gunners last weekend as the North Londoners ran out 1-0 winners thanks to the second half striker from Pierre-EmerickAubameyang. The Gabonese international skipper scored the winning goal on 66 minutes to lead Arsenal to their first league win this season. Arsenal had several opportunities to add to the goal from their skipper in the final quarter of the game but they were unable to take the opportunities that came their way.

Adam Idahmade his first appearance of the new Premier League season on the opening weekend as Norwich City were beaten 3-0 at Carrow Road by title chasers Liverpool. Idah has come off the bench in all his three Premier League games this season. He was also a substitute as hosts Norwich City were beaten 2-1 by Leicester City at Carrow Road.

In addition to his three Premier League outings this season, Idah made an appearance off the bench as Norwich City thumped Bournemouth 6-0 at home in the second round of the Carabao Cup to seal a third round meeting with Liverpool at home. American international and summer signing Josh Sargent scored two of the goals.

Idah has also featured for the Republic of Ireland three times in their Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. Republic of Ireland are in Group A of the European qualifiers.
